*Who: Are you a UC or CSU or community college project manager that has to deliver an exemplary green project soon? This interactive seminar shows you the path to success, helps you avoid common bumps on the road. Hear a step-by-step process that takes you from project inception to delivery!

What: Program Description

UC project managers are now required to manage the construction or renovation of green building, and CSU is developing similar policy goals. The path to successful implementation requires a host of new considerations – most of them are not technical at all! This presentation guides the attendee through the development process, with the preferred future of a green or certified LEED building.

A procurement checklist is provided to help track the consideration and inclusion of sustainable principles on a case project. Topics include: commitment, budgeting, programming, consultant selection, design, construction and operations. For each topic, additional information is provided on an annotated checklist.

The audience is heavily involved in creating the action items for the case project. Through participation, the audience gains skill in determining the forces at work in a green project, and how to reach the environmental goals cost effectively.

Learning objectives

  • Setting appropriate goals and a plan for meeting those goals
  • Optimizing the building team and systems cost effectively
  • Managing the team and delivery process for success, including anticipating obstacles and developing tactics to overcome them.

How: Registration is limited to 50 people. REGISTER HERE
