Where: UC Santa Cruz
Room TBD.

*Who: All project managers planning, implementing, or managing green building projects and waste reduction and recycling professionals.

What: Program Description

UC project managers are now required to manage the construction or renovation of green building, and CSU is developing similar policy goals. Waste reduction and recycling systems are essential to green buildings from the start of the process but often not planned for until towards the end of the project.

The path to successful implementation requires knowledge of these systems and integrating them into green building designs and operations. This workshop will present nuts and bolts of leading waste reduction and recycling systems at CSU Long Beach, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and Stanford University ranging from collection systems to Construction and Demolition recycling. Attendees will then participate in a discussion on campus standards and designs utilized at various campuses to integrate food materials, waste reduction, and recycling systems into green buildings.

How: Registration is limited to 50 people. Registration will be available on the conference registration form. Please contact Lin King at (530) 752-6970 or ltking@ucdavis.edu if you need additional information.
