Cowell Peer Advising
Our Peer Advisors are available for virtual Zoom drop-in advising, Google-Chat and email questions.
Note on Zoom meetings: For security you will need to be logged into your UCSC Zoom account to join a Zoom meeting. You can review the ITS Zoom user guide for instructions on how to log in prior to our meeting. Feel free to reach out to ITS at help@ucsc.edu if you need help with your Zoom account.
If you do not have a UCSC email/Zoom account, you can send an email to cowell@ucsc.edu for questions or to schedule an appointment.

Cowell College Advisors are available in-person and online
- We can respond to many inquiries via email, including completing forms that require our signature. If you are unsure of whether you need an appointment, please email us first: cowell@ucsc.edu
- We are available for 30-minute academic advising appointments if your situation is complicated. You may schedule your appointment via Slug Success.
Maximize your advising experience:
- Review your student portal including your Degree Progress Report and Student Advising Summary.
- Bring a list of questions to help guide your meeting.
- Meet with your major (or prospective) major/minor adviser for any questions about those requirements.
- Follow up with your advisers recommendations to utilize other campus resources as needed.

We are located in the Cowell College Office (in the academic building facing the ocean). The office is open Monday through Friday from 9am- 12pm, 1pm-4pm during the academic year. We are closed on all university holidays.
