Examines the histories of representation, production and distribution of images of women of color in the U.S., including a transnational perspective. Explores the aesthetic, political, and social grounds upon which women of color are imaged in various forms of visual culture, emphasizing film and video. Co-taught by professor/graduate student team. May be repeated for credit. Enrollment limited to 50.
