Justice Now - The We That Sets Us Free Project

A project of the Women's Center working with Justice Now.  JN is a national organization working on issues related to the Prison Industrial Complex, specifically people in women's prisons.  Interns develop curriculum modules on various themes presented on a CD "The We That Sets Us Free."  The CD combines music, spoken work and interviews with women in prison and activists outside about building a safe, compassionate world without prisons.

Looking for 2 - 4 students:

  • interested in learning about critical issues related to the Prison Industrial Complex
  • able to meet weekly for 2- 3 hours to work collaboratively with other project interns
  • good writing skills
  • interested in organizing events and teach-ins related to issues of the PIC, people in women's prisons, alternatives to incarceration.
