Undergraduate students who attend a research university have a valuable opportunity to incorporate research and creative activities into their classroom studies. UC Santa Cruz offers undergraduates many ways to engage in these activities, either by participating in the ongoing research and creative projects of the faculty or by developing their own projects under faculty supervision. Internship programs offer similar ways of 'learning by doing' that enrich your educational experience.

Undergraduate students present their scholarship and creative activities in research symposia and performances throughout the year. Each spring outstanding accomplishments are celebrated during the award ceremony of Student Achievement Week.
