online training Sexual Harassement Prevention For: UCSC Students and Non-Supervisors For: Academic Appointees & Supervisors Training is required under California law (AB 1825), which went into effect in 2005. The law requires employers to provide all supervisors with at least two hours of training in sexual harassment prevention every two years. UCOP has determined that all faculty and other academic appointees are supervisors because they assign and direct the work of others, including research and teaching assistants. In addition, UCOP has decided that all employees classified as Senior Management Group (SMG) or Managers and Professional Staff (MSP) must also complete the mandatory training. There are two ways to satisfy this requirement: 1) Take the revised 2007 version of the on-line sexual harassment prevention training program via your personalized link accessed through the email message sent to you from UCOP. To request a handout on frequently asked questions about the sexual harassment training requirement or for other questions and requests for assistance, please contact Rita Walker at rew@ucsc.edu or 831.459.2462. Additional information regarding Sexual Harassment Prevention Training is also available at: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/sexual-harassment/.
