About Weekend Parking Permit Requirements

Generally permits are not required to park in most campus lots on Saturday and Sunday, as long as you park in a legal parking space and do not block emergency access, or park in spaces that are posted and reserved for special use. It is always advisable to check the permit requirement hours posted at parking lot entrances when parking in campus parking lots.

Parking lots that currently have extended weekend permit hour requirements include, (but may not be limited to):

• Permits are required 24/7, including holidays, in all Family Student Housing parking lots and in all apartment parking lots including Crown/Merrill Apartments, Kresge East Apartments, and Graduate Student Apartments.

• Permits are required 24/7 in Social Sciences Lots 164 & 165.

• Metered parking in campus lots requires payment until 8:30 p.m. weekdays, except in lots where parking enforcement stops at 5:00 p.m.*; check signs at lot entrance.

Campus parking lots require display of a valid parking permit Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. (Select parking lots require permits 24/7; check signs posted at lot entrances.)
