About Summer Session Parking Permits for StudentsSummer Session students can purchase permits for the remote parking lots and for a limited number of central campus parking lots. Remote parking is the less expensive parking option with campus shuttles serving the remote parking lots frequently. Remote permits can be purchased on a daily, weekly, monthly, or by the session. A limited number of parking permits for central campus parking lots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that purchase of a close-in permit does not provide the same access as a faculty/staff "A" permit; "A" permit access is not available to students. Close-in parking permits are only available for purchase by the session (no daily, weekly, or monthly permits will be sold). Summer session students living on-campus who purchase a close-in parking permit may park in College Eight/Oakes Lot162, Heller Extension Lot 149, Crown Lot 111, the East & West Remote lots and the North Perimeter Lot. Commuting Summer Session students who purchase a close-in parking permit may park in these same lots, and may also park on the top floor of the Core West Parking Structure (located on Science Hill). If necessary, permits may be purchased in-person at the TAPS Sales Office. If you have questions about summer session parking permits send us an e-mail. To avoid long waits in line at the Transportation and Parking Services Sales Office (TAPS), you are encouraged to complete an on-line application for your summer session parking permit. By applying on-line several weeks in advance of the session you plan to attend you can receive your permit by mail, eliminating the need for an in-person visit to the TAPS Sales Office. The last day to apply to receive your permit through the mail is Thursday, June 12, 2008. 2008 Summer Session Parking Permit Rates
