UCSC Student ID Card Use on Santa Cruz Metro BusesShowing a valid UCSC Student I.D. Card provides students unlimited rides on Santa Cruz Metro buses. Metro service for students is funded through the Student Transit Fee. Student ID cards are issued through the ID Card Services office located on the first floor of the Bay Tree Bookstore building in between the Digital Copy Center and the Express Store. Contact ID Card Services by calling 831-459-2990 or idcards@ucsc.edu A valid quarter sticker is necessary when showing your UCSC Student ID Card to ride Metro buses; stickers are available each quarter at your college office or board of study. TAPS provides temporary bus passes to each college at the start of Fall and Winter quarters for new students that have not obtained their Student ID Card; new students receive temporary bus passes in their college orientation packets. UCSC ID Card validation Stickers are accepted on Metro buses as follows: Summer 2008 • Summer 2008 Sticker (Burgundy Red) are valid June 1, 2008 through • All students must display a UCSC student ID card with a Summer 2008 sticker by Tuesday Continuing students can pick up their validation sticker at the Summer Session Office, 140 Hahn Student Starting the first day of Summer Session classes, new students can visit the ID Card Office with a photo ID and enrollment verification to obtain a UCSC Summer Session ID card. Fall 2008 • Spring 2008 (White with yellow fishnet) validation stickers are valid 9/1/08 through 10/12/08. • All students must display a UCSC student ID card with a Fall 2008 sticker by Monday New Undergraduate students who took their photos during Summer Orientation can pick up their ID Cards at their college office starting 9/19/08. All continuing students get Fall validation stickers from their department/college office starting 9/1/08.
