About Annual Parking Permits for UCSC Retirees

Each year UCSC retirees and emeriti may apply for one complimentary annual “A” parking permit or one complimentary annual Faculty/Staff SCMTD bus pass, for their exclusive use (not transferable). The following conditions must be met:

1. The retiree must have emeritus status. Retirees cannot be on compensated recalled-to-service status or employed by an outside agency and performing assigned duties for the University on a contractual basis.
2. The retiree must have served at least two years during which he or she held whatever parking permit or bus pass was required on the Santa Cruz campus.

Annual “A” parking permits are valid from July 1st through June 30th of each year. Submitting an on-line application two weeks prior to the time you will need to use your parking permit will allow time for TAPS to process your application and mail your permit, eliminating the need for an in-person visit to the TAPS Sales Office. For delivery by mail go to the "How Would You Like Your Permit Delivered?" section of the on-line application and choose the appropriate mail option.
