About Off–Campus Parking SitesUCSC prefers that students who are not eligible to purchase an on–campus parking permit not bring vehicles to Santa Cruz unless advance arrangements for paid long–term parking off–campus are made. Residential streets near campus and in downtown Santa Cruz have strictly enforced parking permit requirements managed by the City of Santa Cruz Permit Parking Program. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Lot A good option for off–campus parking is offered by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Those interested should contact the Beach Boardwalk prior to submitting an application. Applications for Fall quarter are accepted starting August 3, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.; please contact the Beach Boardwalk at 831–423–5590 prior to submitting an application. Parking Offered at High Street ChurchesThe following churches located on High Street, close to campus, offer parking Monday through Friday by purchasing a quarterly or annual permit from the church office. Please phone the contact person listed for additional information: First Congregational Church - The parking lot is approximately 2 blocks from the UCSC Main Entrance. Long term overnight parking for students (Sold Out for Fall 2009) is offered at $550 for the academic year -24 hours/7days a week. The 73 available spaces are located in the lower parking lot, adjacent to High Street. Call Brooke at 831-426-2010. Daytime commuter parking for UCSC staff is offered at $100 per quarter or $300 for the calendar year. The 15 available spaces are in the upper parking lot with easy access to the campus. Hours - Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. High Street Community Church - The parking lot is approximately 4 blocks from the UCSC Main Entrance. Annual parking for 24 hours 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday) is offered for $500 for the year, or $170 per quarter (pro-rated if the permit is purchased in the middle of a quarter). Students are required to move their cars on Sundays as a courtesy to the congregation. 60 permits are offered on a first come, first served basis. HSCC is currently accepting applications. Payment by cash or check only. Call Dorothy at 831-426-0207. Presbyterian Church – This is a weekday commuter lot only; no overnight or weekend parking is offered.
