About TAPS Disability Van Service

DVS provides on–campus wheelchair lift–equipped transportation for those unable to use the regular Campus
Transit system. Disability Van Service is available to staff, faculty, students and visitors with temporary or permanent mobility impairments. No fare is required to use the Disability Van Service; current medical
documentation and advance reservations are necessary.

Make reservations by phone at 831–459–2829 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or submit an online request for Disability Van Service reservations.

During Summer the TAPS Disability Van Service provides rides on the following schedule:

• Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Late ride hours are:

Monday through Thursday 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
All late rides must be reserved by the previous day, 24 hours in advance.


During Fall, Winter & Spring Quarter the TAPS Disability Van Service provides rides
on the following schedule:

• Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
• Friday 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 a.m.
• Saturday 6:00 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.
• Sunday 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Summer service dates and hours for 2008 will be posted during Spring Quarter.

• Students with permanent disabilities should contact the Disability Resource Center at
831–459–2089 to learn more about obtaining authorization.

• Students with temporary disabilities should contact the Student Health Center at 831–459–2211 to schedule an appointment to obtain authorization.
