About Campus Transit Bicycle Rack Use

Note: Cyclists are solely responsible for any property damage or injury caused by improper bicycle rack use. Cyclists assume all risks of loss and damage to their bicycles by using bicycle racks.

Bike Rack Use on TAPS Campus Transit Buses

Bikes are allowed on the following UCSC transit routes; the Loop (both directions) and on Night Perimeter buses traveling east to west from the campus Main Entrance to the West Remote parking lot. Bikes can be loaded and unloaded at all stops along these routes; buses are equipped with front–loading bike racks that carry two bikes at a time. Bikes are not allowed inside buses.

Bike Rack Use on the UCSC Fremont BART Connector

Bikes are welcome on the Fremont BART Connector. Buses can accommodate two bikes per trip. Bike rack reservations are required; make your bike reservation at the same time you’re booking your trip. Call
831–459–3779 for more information. Bicycles can only be loaded and unloaded at designated stops and bikes cannot be carried inside the bus. Follow BART guidelines when transferring your bike to BART trains. Get information about the Bikes On BART Program.
