About TAPS Bike Shuttle ProgramTAPS operates an award-winning bicycle trailer and shuttle from Olive Street, next to the Mission Street Longs Drug Store, on weekday mornings; no fare is required to ride. Cyclists can load their bicycles on the trailer and catch a ride on the shuttle van up to campus. On–campus bikes can be unloaded at the Physical Plant Metro Stop on the lower campus, and at the Engineering 2 Circle on the upper campus. So, catch a ride with your bike up the hill in the morning and enjoy the cycle down in the afternoon. Westside Bike Shuttle Service During Summer During Summer the Westside Longs bike shuttle operates on 30-minute frequencies at :10 and :40 past the hour from 7:10 a.m. – 9:40 a.m. During Summer 2008 two supplemental trips will be added, departing Mission Street Longs at 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.
Westside Bike Shuttle Service During Fall, Winter & Spring Quarters During Fall, Winter and Spring quarter the bike shuttle operates on 15 minute frequencies between 7:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Monday through Friday. Trips depart from Olive Street on the hour, and at :15, :30, and :45 after the hour. Additional service, on 30 minute frequencies, operates from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On rainy days service is provided on the hour and on the half-hour from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Downtown Bike Shuttle Service The TAPS Bike Shuttle program expanded to a second location for Spring Quarter 2008. New service from the University Inn started on Monday, April 14th, 2008. Please note: The Downtown Bike Shuttle will not run during summer 2008. We hope to resume this service in Fall 2008. UCSC affiliates can use the new service by riding their bikes to the pick-up location at 611 Ocean Street between Water and Dakota streets. Bike Shuttle service is reserved for passengers that load a bike onto the trailer; those without bikes may not ride. Parking at the University Inn is reserved for hotel guests, residents and conference attendees; other vehicles will be ticketed. One van and trailer with capacity for 14 bikes and riders per trip departs from the southwest corner of the (behind) University Inn parking lot (Dakota Street side) at :25 after the hour from 7:25 a.m. to 10:25 a.m., Monday through Friday. Drop-offs on campus are at Physical Plant (Lower Campus) and Cowell Circle (Upper Campus).
