Parking Exception Appeals for Residential Freshmen & SophomoresParking exceptions for first and second–year students (or students with less than 90 accredited units) residing in University housing are granted by the Parking Review Panel, if there is a legitimate need, such as: economic need when a student must rely on income from a job not served by public transportation, academic need including off–campus classes, research or field study not served by public transportation, family need, including care of a sick or disabled relative, or frequent medical/dental appointments not served by public transportation. To expedite your appeal please review the checklist of necessary paperwork listed on the appeal form, and submit all required appeal information and paperwork simultaneously*. Documents submitted piecemeal will delay determining the outcome of your appeal. Temporary permits will not be issued while an appeal is pending. *If your appeal is approved go to the On-Line Application Center and complete the on–line parking permit application. Please do not print out the parking permit application and mail it with your appeal documents.
