About 2008–09 Parking Permit Rate Increases

Most types of parking permits do not have a rate increase for 2008–09.

*These rates may apply to employees in some bargaining units; employees in some bargaining units will not be affected by the parking fee changes until such time agreements regarding parking fees are reached between the University and the organizations which exclusively represent employees in these bargaining units.

* Rate increases are limited to the following types of parking permits:

A/B Scratch-Off Packets

• 1st Packet of 50 permits will increase form $165 to $180
• 2nd Packet of 50 permits will increase from $221 to $240
• 3rd Packet of 50 permits will increase from $247.50 to $270
• 1/2 Packet of 25 permits will increase from $86.25 to $90
• 1 supplemental packet of scratch-off permits for those in "A" or "B" Carpools will increase from
$131.25 to $144
• 1st supplemental packet of scratch-off permits for those in Vanpools is $180

Scratch-off permits may now be purchased using payroll deduction. You will see a one time deduction (sorry - pre-tax deduction is not available) from your subsequent paycheck for the full cost of the packet.

Another new scratch-off packet option will be available starting in Fall 2008. Eligible staff, faculty, graduate students, and commuting undergraduate students with senior status, will be able to purchase a packet of
25 -"R" Remote Scratch-off Permits for $90.

Temporary Parking Permits

Temporary "A" & "B" permits will increase -

• One-day - $5.50 to $6
• Weekly - $24 to $27
• Monthly - $85 to $90

Temporary "R" permits will increase -

• One-day - $3.50 to $4
• Weekly - $15 to $18
• Monthly - $50 to $64

Staff/Faculty Metro Bus Pass

There is no change to the Staff/Faculty Annual Metro Bus Pass rate. The annual bus pass fee is $60; $5 per month for those that are eligible for payroll deduction.
