	Core West Parking Structure at UC Santa Cruz Summer Bus Passes for Eligible Graduate Students Graduate students with a teaching or research appointment during summer 2008 may purchase a Staff/Faculty bus pass on-line or at the TAPS Sales Office. Please use the Summer Session Parking Permit Application to apply for your summer bus pass on-line. After completing the "Personal Information" section scroll to the "Permit Choices" section of the on-line application and select "Graduate Student Summer Bus Pass $15.00" – then select your method of payment and click the submit button at the bottom of the application page. Graduate students without a summer appointment may purchase a Quarterly bus pass from the TAPS Sales Office. Some Parking Permit Rates Wiil Change* On July 1, 2008 Most types of parking permits and transportation programs will not have a rate increase for 2008–09. * Rate increases will be limited to the following: • "A" & "B" Scratch-Off Packet prices will increase*. • Temporary Parking Permit prices will increase*. A few other options to enhance customer convenience will be offered: • Scratch-off permits may now be purchased using payroll deduction. You will see a one time deduction from your subsequent paycheck for the full cost of the packet (sorry - pre-tax deduction is not available). • Starting in Fall 2008 eligible commuting senior undergraduate students may purchase a packet of 25 -"R" Scratch-off permits for $90. *These rates may apply to employees in some bargaining units; employees in some bargaining units will not be affected by the parking fee changes until such time agreements regarding parking fees are reached between the University and the organizations which exclusively represent employees in these bargaining units. July 4th Transit Schedule Information

Santa Cruz Metro buses do not operate on Friday, July 4, 2008. TAPS provides "substitute" transit service between the campus and downtown Santa Cruz on July 4th. Get complete transit schedule information for the upcoming July 4th holiday weekend.

Supplemental Route 15 Metro Bus Service for Summer Session 2008

Additional SCMTD Route 15 transit service will begin Monday June 23, operating Monday through Thursday, and continue through August 28. Get a printable schedule.

Eligible students may apply now for parking their 2008-09 parking permit. Some types of permits such as " C" permits, Apartment permits and
"C Carpool" permits sell out early so apply now to get the type of permit you really want. Apply today and receive your parking permit by mail.

Staff/Faculty Parking Permit Renewal For
2008 – 09 Is Under Way. Apply On-line Now!

Annual parking permits and Staff/Faculty Metro Bus passes expire on June 30, 2008. If you want to renew your parking permit or bus pass for 2008-09 you can apply on-line now or in person at the TAPS Sales Office. Staff & faculty with “Non-Expiring– Multi-Year” parking permits do not need to reapply in order to continue using their permit unless they want select a different type of permit or purchase a 2008-09 bus pass.

Summer Session Students - Apply On-line Now For Your Parking Permit!

Summer Session students can purchase permits for the remote parking lots and for a limited number of central campus parking lots. Close-In parking permits for the top floor of the Core West Parking Structure can be purchased by commuting students on a first-come, first-served basis. Summer 2008 Bike Shuttle Service

During Summer the Westside Longs bike shuttle operates on 30-minute frequencies at :10 and :40 past the hour from 7:10 a.m. – 9:40 a.m.
During Summer 2008 two supplemental trips will be added, departing Mission Street Longs at 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.

• Summer Service Dates – 6/13/08 to 9/19/08
• No service on 7/4/08 & 9/1/08

Please note: The Downtown Bike Shuttle will not run during summer 2008. We hope to resume this service in Fall 2008.
