About Students Organizations Featured Orgs SVC Events Register!

The 9th Annual Volunteer Fair, held on Thursday, October 22nd 2009 from 11am-4pm, was a great success! 30 organizations participated in the event, setting up tables to reach out to UCSC students interested in volunteer, internship, and field study opportunities. The National Marrow Donor Program was also on site and registered over 60 students during the fair, connecting thousands of patients dependent on the Be the Match Registry with a donor who can give them a second chance at life.

Happy volunteering to all those students that joined us! If you missed this year's fair, remember that the Volunteer Fair is held annually. Check us out next year! What is the Volunteer Fair?

Held annually each fall, the Volunteer Fair gives UCSC students the opportunity to get connected with Santa Cruz community volunteer organizations. SVC hosts over 40 community organizations at the Quarry Plaza (outside the Bay Tree Bookstore) for an afternoon of networking and education on the issues in Santa Cruz. Organizations attend the event to table, promote their efforts, and find UCSC students eager to fill their volunteer needs. Check it out for more information on SVC and the participating organizations, specific volunteer opportunities, or to meet other students interested in volunteering.

If you are a community organization that would like to attend or learn more about the fair, please contact us.
