SVC and Organizations The Student Volunteer Center’s goal is to connect students who want to volunteer with opportunities on campus and in the Santa Cruz community. SVC maintains listings of one-time volunteering events (this should not be a link anymore) as well as organizations that have ongoing opportunities for students right here in Santa Cruz and beyond. SVC also sponsors campus events that promote volunteering and hosts student-run programs that coordinate volunteering activities for various causes.

Group OpportunitiesStudents, student organizations, and other groups at UCSC are becoming more and more interested in participating in group volunteer opportunities. If your organization has the capacity to host a group volunteer event, whether it’s serving food to the homeless, a beach clean-up, gardening, or painting that old room that just won’t paint itself, let us know so that we can offer that opportunity to our students.
Have a Big Volunteer Job…what about hosting an intern? The SVC Internship Program (SVCIP) awards both two and five unit internships to out-going driven UCSC students who wish to expand their education to include work in the nonprofit sector. These are non-paid internships over one quarter.
