I am responsible for the general intellectual life of the college, including our academic and advising programs. I oversee all college courses, including the core course, as well as college scholarships and student project funding. I sponsor lectures by faculty and other distinguished scholars throughout the year, and develop programs—such as the faculty-student mentor program— to support students studies within our residential environment. I also serve on the Council of Provosts and a variety of other university-wide committees to ensure the Colleges interests are represented. The CREs are responsible for supervising all aspects of Residential Life at Stevenson. They provide direct support services to approximately 250 students in their respective quads, and about 140 students in the apartments. They coordinate the training and selection of your Resident Advisers, adjudicate student conduct cases, and provide educational, multicultural, and social opportunities for students. They also have responsibility for counseling, advising, conflict management, and on-call responsibilities. Stop by the Residential Life and Housing office in House 9 of the apartments to get support and assistance for all residential life issues. They are here to make your lives easier.

John Hadley: Coffee House ManagerContact: (831) 459-2433, jjhadley@ucsc.eduI supervise the day-to-day operation of the Stevenson Coffee House. I have 25-30 student employees that serve specialty coffees, homemade baked goods soups, salads, and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. The Coffee House is home to lively music, informal student/faculty interactions, biweekly art shows and more. I can be reached for catering, comments, compliments and any feed back Monday through Friday at (831) 459-2433. |
