Marine Masterpieces 2004 Student Art Contest The first annual Marine Masterpieces student art contest produced some incredible artwork from K-12 students. Students were asked to create art that communicated something about marine life/science, ocean conservation, or marine scientists. More than 160 pieces of artwork, representing work from over 400 students, were entered into the contest. Winning art was exhibited on March 6, 2004. Winning students received a variety of awards and cool prizes. Teachers of first place winners received a certificate good for a free future field trip to the Seymour Center. Teachers who want to receive an announcement for the 2005 art contest should contact the Seymour Center and ask to be placed on the teacher mailing list.
