Exhibit Halls - Questioning

Spacer

Visit the center’s aquarium to see the types of questions scientists ask. You can’t help but wonder why plants and animals that live in the ocean are so odd looking—so different from land plants and animals. Witness for yourself some of the incredible variety of plants and animals in the sea.

Each aquarium tank asks a question about its inhabitants. How smart is an octopus? What does this crab do when it outgrows its shell? What survival techniques do sanddabs use to escape hungry predators? Scientists ask questions just like these, and spend their lives looking for the answers. Their dedication to searching for answers provides information that helps us learn more about the oceans and how we can protect them. Learn more about what you can see in the Seymour Center aquarium tanks.
