Prairie Falcons

SCPBRG's captive breeding program employed the use of captive prairie falcons (Falco mexicanus) to help raise young peregrine falcon chicks.  Young peregrines, having become accustomed to prairie falcons as surrogate parents, were then released by being cross-fostered into wild prairie falcon eyries.
