Craig Himmelwright, DVM
Craig Himmelwright earned bachelor of science degrees in biology and anthropology (honors) at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis. Craig brings a useful set of skills and abilities to our team. He worked as a wildlife biologist and field coordinator for the Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group during the peak period of our falcon releases and field investigations. He has applied his natural history knowledge as an ornithology instructor and leader of the new SCPBRG birds of prey field quarter for environmental studies interns. His clinical background as a veterinarian provides opportunities for inquiries that would otherwise be more difficult.
