Personal Statement:

Hello UC Santa Cruz Community,

It is with great enthusiasm that I begin my first year on the Staff Advisory Board!  I have been a member of the UC Santa Cruz community for over twelve years, as an undergraduate student and as a member of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Management team.  

I am very interested in identifying ways to support the growth and development of all staff as leaders making a positive impact on the university and the public constituencies that we serve.  As a student at UCSC I was very involved in a variety of students organizations, I was a member of the residential life team at Oakes College, and took advantage of the advising and research opportunities available at our beautiful campus.  As a professional staff member, I have had the opportunity to represent UCSC ad the UC system throughout the state for the past nine years as a Regional Admissions Representative and currently as the Associate Director of Admissions-Outreach.  I also had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the 2009 UCSC 2009 Leadership Academy. 

On a personal note, I am committed to helping students access higher education and I have served as a mentor for the Puente Program at Contra Costa College for two years, before moving back to Santa Cruz.  I continue to volunteer with a number of community and faith based organizations and I am very active in my church here in Santa Cruz.  Also, for those that may not know I absolutely love to sing!

 I am committed to creating a climate that is supportive and meets the needs of our staff and look forward to serving you as a new member of the Staff Advisory Board!
