AdAware SE Personal

Downloading

1. Go to internet address http://www.download.com.

2. In the search bar type in Ad-Aware SE Personal and click Go.

3. Click on Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.06.

4. Click on the Save button.

5. Select the folder to save the file then click Save.

Installing the Program

1. After download completes click on Run to begin the installation.

2. Click Next when the first dialogue box appears.

3. Check the box to accecpt the "License Agreement" then click next.

4. Choose the folder in which to save the program then click next.

5. Select Anyone who uses this computer then click next.

6. Click next again.

7. Deselect the three options then click Finish.

Ad-Aware is finished installing and is ready to be run on your computer.

Installing any Ad-Aware Updates

1. Open the Ad-Aware program by double click on the icon.

2. If the program does not automatically ask you to update, then click on Check for updates now before scanning.

3. Click on Connect.

4. If new definitions are available, click OK.

5. Click Finish.

Scanning Your Computer for Spyware using Ad-Aware SE Perosnal

1. Open Ad-Aware and click on the Start button.

2. Check the box labeled Perform Full System Scan then click Next.

3. When the scan completes click the Next button.

4. Under the Scan Summary tab, select all objects and click Next.

5. When the dialogue box appears, click OK to remove the items.

6. Items will then be removed and you may close the program.
