We invite you to subscribe to QConnect--the e-newsletter of the Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center. QConnect is published weekly throughout the academic year, featuring queer events, news, and reviews. You will also receive occasional QFlashes about important upcoming events.
If you do not wish to receive QConnect, you may subscribe to our Quarterly News List. This news is designed to keep UCSC's queer alumni connected with the Cantú GLBTI Resource Center and UCSC.
Dear Queer UCSC Alumni and Friends,
We hope that you plan to return to UCSC for the Reunion Weekend http://alumni.ucsc.edu/reunions/index.html. In addition to the array of events happening all over campus, you are warmly invited to our annual Lavender Reception here at the Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center.
Faculty, staff, students, and fellow alumni welcome the opportunity to reconnect with you. We'll let you know what's new and exciting at the Cantú GLBTI Center; we would love to hear about the 'gay 'ol days' as well as the not-so-distant 'queer years' at UCSC, so come and share your stories!
We will serve a delicious light buffet in our newly furnished GALA Gallery Lounge. Come relax, nosh, imbibe, and enjoy each others' company.
As a special door prize to our first twenty guests, we will be giving away copies of UCSC's GLBT historical account 'Out in the Redwoods.' Not to worry if you're running late--we will have copies of the book available at a discount to all visitors.
We hope that you will visit the community space your presence helped build. If you have questions about the Lavender Reception, please contact me at 831.459.4385 or email me at dabbott@ucsc.edu.
Whether or not you can join us on the 25th, do stay in touch.
A please consider supporting our students by becoming a Friends of the Cantú GLBTI Resource Center.
Sincerely,
Deb Abbott, Director (Porter, '76)
