Conal
is a doctoral candidate in anthropology doing fieldwork
in Ghana, West Africa. His ethnographic research project
looks at how Chinese expatriates in Ghana negotiate
their national and cultural identity, what being Chinese
in Ghana means, and how they negotiate a sense of
community.
