Women's Group Facilitator
Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and currently works for the County of Santa Cruz Adult Mental Health. She received a MSW degree from San Jose State University in May 2005, and focused her research and studies on GLBTQI issues while at the University. Shannon helped to revitalize the Santa Cruz City Schools GLBTGI taskforce while working as a social work intern during her course of studies. Shannon completed her clinical hours and passed her licensure exam in December 2008. She has lived in Santa Cruz since 2002, and hopes to continue to live and work here. She is an outdoor enthusiast and her hobbies include biking, surfing, and snowboarding. She rode her bicycle from SF to LA in 2006 and 2008 to raise money for Aids awareness and education.
