Fireside Lounge Hours
and Guidelines
This facility will be closed for building renovations from 3/21/09 to 12/31/09.
LOCATION: C Building
FACILITY: Multi-purpose lounges with carpet and comfortable couches and fireplace. Additional chairs and tables and AV support can be provided.
USE: General recreation, meetings, Residential Life programs.
SCHEDULING:May be reserved by any campus group/office for up to four hours. Only Porter Staff may reserve for private meetings or for programs no longer than 4 hours. Meetings and activities must have a 20 person minimum
projected attendance.
RESERVATIONS: Contact James Blaine or Ana Sanchez, Porter College Activities,
459-2857. Groups outside of Porter must receive consent to reserve
from Assistant CAO for Student Life.
KEYS: No need to obtain keys for this area; open according to schedule
below.
OPENS:
8:00 AM weekdays (opened by Custodial Staff)
10:00 AM weekends (opened by Custodial Staff); by request during
holiday periods
CLOSES: 3:00 AM daily (locked by Community Service Officers)
MAINTAIN: Custodial Services provides routine cleaning and Student Activities office
administers equipment. Groups reserving the space must clean up
after themselves and leave the space (including furniture) in the
same manner in which it was found.
Dining Hall Foyer Hours
and Guidelines
This facility will be closed for building renovations from 3/21/09 to 12/31/09.
LOCATION: C Building
FACILITY: Multi-purpose open space with carpet and comfortable couches,
offers upright piano, space for tabling, awareness
bulletin boards and trophy cases, access to C-building bathrooms,
entrance to Hungry Slug and the Dining Hall.
USE: General lounging, studying, awareness displays, or tabling
for events. Not appropriate for meetings or classes.
SCHEDULING: Cannot be reserved: high traffic open space. When Dining
Hall is reserved, this area automatically comes with it.
RESERVATIONS: For tabling and displays, contact James Blaine, Porter
College Activities Office, 459-2857. Groups outside of Porter must receive
consent to reserve from Asst. CAO for Student Life.
KEYS: No need to obtain keys for this area; open according to schedule
below.
OPENS: 7:00 AM weekdays (opened by Dining Hall Staff)
CLOSES: 3:00 AM daily (locked by CSOs)

C-002 Hours and Guidelines
This facility will be closed for building renovations from 3/21/09 to 12/31/09.
LOCATION: C Building
FACILITY: Multi-purpose classroom with carpet and desk/chair combinations,
can be set with a few tables.
USE: General meetings, CORE course sections, practice space, educational
programs.
SCHEDULING: May be reserved by any campus group for private meetings
or up to 4 hours per day and 4 days per week, at any time.
RESERVATIONS: Contact James Blaine or Ana Sanchez, Porter College Activities Office,
459-2857. Groups outside of Porter must receive consent to reserve
from Asst. CAO for Student Life.
KEYS: To checkout keys for this area, contact Porter Activities the
business day prior to the event, during regular business hours.
Keys must be returned by 12:00 Noon of the following business day.

Study Center Hours and
Guidelines
LOCATION: D Building
FACILITY:Study lounges with carpet, comfortable couches, group
tables with chairs, and private desks. Can be set with additional chairs.
USE: Study only, and occasional trainings / meetings when classes
are not in session. Seminar room may be used for small meetings, instruction and study groups.
SCHEDULING: Cannot be reserved during the year when classes are
in session. During summer and break periods, Porter College Staff
may reserve the space without limitation. Seminar room use is by reservation only. See below.
RESERVATIONS: Contact James Blaine or Ana Sanchez, Porter College Activities Office,
459-2857. Groups outside of Porter must receive consent to reserve
from Asst. CAO for Student Life.
KEYS: Study Center is open according to the schedule below. Seminar room is by key access. Contact the Porter Activities Office for reservations and keys.

J. B. Hall Gallery and
Bridge Gallery Hours and Guidelines
LOCATION: C Building
FACILITY: Art galleries with carpet and track lighting, can be
set with chairs and tables, offers extra tables and pedestals for
artwork upon request. Bridge Gallery also offers balcony views to
the Dining Hall, and offers access to Dining Hall Stage Technician
Booth.
USE: Art exhibits, receptions, meetings, CORE course sections,
technical uses, stage balcony.
SCHEDULING: During exhibit periods (when an artist has work on
display), reservations can be made only by Porter College staff
for private meetings and events. During non-exhibit periods, Porter
College students may hold events / meetings which are open to the
public; and staff may hold either public or private meetings / events.
Event duration may not exceed 4 hours, unless the event is an exhibit.
Exhibits provisions are to be negotiated with the College Programs
Coordinator.

Faculty Gallery (D-222)
Hours and Guidelines
LOCATION: D Building
FACILITY: Art gallery with carpet and track lighting, can be set
with chairs, offers pedestals for artwork upon request. Small office/storage
space in rear of gallery.
USE: Art exhibits by faculty and professional artists, sometimes
in conjunction with Sesnon Gallery exhibits. Core Course sections
and Porter College Courses. Student exhibitions by Provost exception
only. Meetings under 20 people; Receptions up to 50.
SCHEDULING: During exhibit periods (when artist has work on display
and during installation/de-installation) reservations can be made
only by Porter College staff for private meetings and events. During
non-exhibit periods, Porter College students may hold small (no
more than 20) events/meetings which are open to the campus. Exhibits
scheduled by arrangement with Provost and College Programs Coordinator.
RESERVATIONS: Contact James Blaine or Ana Sanchez, Porter College Activities Office, 459-2857.
Groups outside of Porter must receive consent to reserve from the
Provost.
KEYS: To obtain keys for this area, contact James Blaine or Ana Sanchez on the business
day prior to event, T-F 12:00noon-6:00pm. Keys must be returned
by the end of the following business day. Exhibiting artists may
check out and hold keys for duration of exhibit.
OPENS: Opens when Sesnon Gallery is open; by scheduled key access
CLOSES: Closes when Sesnon Gallery is closed; by scheduled key
access
MAINTAIN: Student Activities staff; Groups reserving the space

Porter/Kresge Community Lounge (I Building)
Hours and Guidelines
LOCATION: Porter Apartments
FACILITY: Multipurpose lounge with carpet and comfortable couches, can be set with chairs,
offers pool table, and restrooms. Wireless.
SCHEDULING: Reservations can be made
only by Porter College staff/students for events no longer than 4 hours,
which are open to the public. Porter Staff only may reserve for private
meetings of no longer than 4 hours at any time. Meetings and activities must
have a 20 person minimum projected attendance.
RESERVATIONS: Contact Porter Housing Office, 459-2746. Groups outside of
Porter must receive consent to reserve from Assistant CAO for Student Life.
KEYS: No need to obtain keys for this area; open according to schedule below.
