Campus Crime Summary - December 2008
During the month of December there were twelve theft reports. Thefts of computers and personal items occurred from locked and unlocked vehicles, dining halls, offices and dorm rooms. There were three stolen bicycle reports. There was one injury accident involving a solo bicyclist. There were nineteen vandalism reports taken for graffiti and property damage. Officers made four arrests in the month of December. One affiliate was arrested for public intoxication. One affiliate and one non-affiliate were arrested for violating a court order and trespassing. One non-affiliate was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Most theft of property crimes occur because the opportunity exists. Please do not leave your valuables unattended for any amount of time. Close and lock your doors and windows. Remember predictable is usually preventable.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 (referred to as the Clery Act) is part of the Higher Education Act. It requires institutions of higher education that receive federal financial aid to report specified crime statistics on college campuses and to provide other safety and crime information to members of the campus community.
