Campus Crime Summary - December 2007
During the month of December there were nine theft reports. Thefts of computers along with personal items all occurred from locked and unlocked vehicles, from dining halls along with offices and dorm rooms. There was one report of a stolen bicycle. Remember it is always a good idea to leave un-needed personal items in your locked office or dorm room when going to breakfast, lunch or dinner. There were two non-injury traffic accidents and one injury accident reported for the month of December. UCSC Police Officers issued a total of 32 citations for traffic, University, and Municipal violations. There were four arrests during the month of December. One affiliate was arrested for public intoxication. Two affiliates were issued citations for conspiracy to commit a crime. The citations issued were for their involvement in the tree sitter protest at Science Hill. One non-affiliate was arrested for public intoxication. The Police Department took in several pieces of found property this month. If you are missing or have lost personal property (i.e. keys, glasses, wallet, etc…). First, check the area where you last remember having it or think you might have lost it. Then, check with the Police Department's lost and found. You can call the number for UCSC Police, or come in and check with the front office staff. Please remember to drive safely during the rainy weather.
