Campus Crime Summary - August 2007
During the month of August there were seven theft reports. Thefts of computers along with personal items all occurred from locked and unlocked vehicles, from dining halls along with offices and dorm rooms. There were several reports of thefts of bicycles that were both locked and unlocked. Remember it is always a good idea to leave un-needed personal items in your locked office or dorm room when going to lunch or dinner. There was one non-injury traffic accident and no injury accidents reported for the month of August. UCSC Police Officers issued a total of 58 citations for traffic, University, and Municipal violations. There were six arrests during the month of August. Two affiliates were cited for vandalism. One non-affiliate was arrested for DUI. Two non-affiliates were cited for driving without a license. Another non-affiliate was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 (referred to as the Clery Act) is part of the Higher Education Act.
