Wellness Hours
Every weekday (Monday-Friday) we have 1 hour set-aside (12:00 - 1:00 pm) on our First Floor for Wellness Card Holders, including Staff and Faculty. During this time, we ask that all other participants move their workout to the Second Floor.

Wellness in the Workplace Workshops
The following workshops are for work groups or small departments (6 - 30 employees).These workshops provide employees with practical measures to improve health and decrease the prevalence of worksite injuries. Funding assistance available, please inquire.
Workplace Stretching (30 minutes, $35/group)
This workshop is designed to teach individuals how to stretch in order to prepare for the workday, or to relieve stress and muscle tension during the workday. After going through a stretching routine, stretching recommendations and guidelines will be given in order to best suit your groups needs and goals. Handouts and tips on how to incorporate stretching into the day of work will be given as well! |
Workplace Exercise (30 minutes, $35/group)
This workshop will teach individuals how to create a workplace exercise routine that can be done with minimal equipment and time, yet offers great results. All exercises will be demonstrated with proper form and recommendations will be given based on the groups needs and goals. No exercise experience necessary! |
Stress Reduction in the Workplace (1 hour, $50/group)
This workshop will teach individuals how to handle stress and improve their stress resistance. Discussions will be led about personal stressors, ways to deal with stress, and defense mechanisms. Practical tips will be given for reducing stress on the job and within the workday. An introduction of deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation exercises will be practiced. |
Health/Fitness Assessments (prices vary - please call for more information)
A variety of health and fitness assessments are available to determine current health status of employees. This baseline information will be used to set goals to reach optimal health and fitness. The following tests are available: blood pressure, resting heart rate, cholesterol, body composition, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and strength. Following the assessment, basic health and fitness recommendations will be given. |
Wellness in the Workplace (1 hour, $50/group)
This interactive workshop touches on all of the areas of lifetime wellness, from physical fitness, proper nutrition, stress reduction, disease prevention, and much more. Discussions around time management and goal setting will also be held to give participants practical tips for creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Workshops may be combined or altered by request. Please call for prices and more information. |
