This class is open to all certified divers. It is an introduction to and covers the basics in capturing images underwater. Each class consists of one lecture, one pool session and one ocean session. The Photography class will use housed digital still cameras.
Students need to provide the following diving gear: mask, snorkel, fins, gloves, booties, web weight belt, exposure suit, cutting device, and underwater slate. They also need to supply 1 blank recordable CD and 4 AA batteries. Enrollment is limited to 6 for each class. The course fee is $30.
PREREQUISITES for the class are: Must be certified by a nationally recognized agency and have medical clearance from the UCSC Health Center.
