This class is open to all certified divers. It is an introduction to and covers the basics in capturing images underwater. Each class consists of one lecture, one pool session and one ocean session. The Photography class will use housed digital still cameras.
Students need to provide the following diving gear: mask, snorkel, fins, gloves, booties, web weight belt, 2 weight belt keepers, exposure suit, and cutting device. They also need to supply 1 blank recordable CD and 4 AA batteries. Enrollment is limited to 6 for each class. The course fee is $50.
PREREQUISITES for the class are: Must currently or have previously taken an UCSC SCUBA course and have current medical clearance from the UCSC Health Center on file.
