Residential Life

The Oakes College Residential Life staff is committed to diversity and appreciation of difference. We strive to create a secure and supportive environment that promotes communication and understanding among students from all backgrounds. Our team of Coordinators for Residential Education (CREs) and student Neighborhood Assistants (NAs) are here to help you meet the challenges of your transition to college life. The CRE's and NA's are trained, live-in staff members who are here to provide a safe, comfortable, and inclusive community for all through programming and counseling regarding academic, personal, and emergency situations.

Most of all, the members of the Residential Life Team want to get to know you, as an individual, in the context of our community and provide opportunities for you to succeed. We know you are capable of reaching great heights, and Oakes is the first step towards your future.

Erika won a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Bookshop Santa Cruz! Her name was chosen at random from all those who completed the 2-week survey at the Oakes College Core Course Wednesday night lecture on 10/11/06.
