Oakes College Programs Office

The Oakes College Programs Office provides social, educational, and recreational programs for Oakes students, including Fall Orientation and the Oakes College Commencement Ceremony. A variety of cultural and social awareness programs promote dialogue and communication between the Oakes and UC Santa Cruz communities. Other events coordinated during the academic year are: Family Fest, Oakes Annual Drag Ball, Block Party, barbecues, Underdome three-on-three Basketball Tourney, UnityFEST Day, Solidarity Tongue open mics, concerts, movie screenings, community dinners, College Nights, faculty discussions and more.

The Programs Office also includes our Community Assistants who are current Oakes students who create and implement programs based on the interests and needs of our community and students.
