Oakes College Alumni

2007 marks the 35 year anniversary of Oakes College!

For the past 35 years Oakes students, faculty, and staff have worked together to create a dynamic and multicultural community dedicated to the goals of equality and freedom from oppression. As alumni of Oakes College, you have much to be proud of. Your work here as a student and the connections you have maintained since your graduation provide the driving force that fuels innovation and growth in the college. Thanks to your donations, we are offering several new college courses, including “Social Justice Fieldwork,” “Imagining the Filipino Diaspora,” “Re/Presenting Identity,” and “Rainbow Theater Cultural Studies.”

We wish to extend a special thank you to those of you who have purchased an Oakes College tile. We also wish to thank the many Oakes alumni who have joined the UCSC Alumni Association - $12 of your $40 membership fee goes directly to the college to fund programs and special projects.
