The Activities and Programs Office at Merrill College is a resource center for program development, planning and implementation of student activities and programming for college specific and campus-wide events. With the help of creative and committed Community Program Assistants, Resident Assistants, Merrill Student Government members, Orientation Leaders and others, the office ensures that student life at Merrill College remains enjoyable and enriching!
Unit responsibilities include coordination of: Fall Orientation; Merrill College Nights, which combine performances and tasty cuisine, often representing cultural themes; Merrill Student Government, the elected student leadership; Banana Slug Spring Fair, Preview Day, and other campus-wide collaborations; the Pottery Co-op unit, and the Merrill Grad. Committee, which organizes and helps plan Spring Commencement. In addition, the Activities and Programs Office hosts a variety of activities, such as movie nights, dances, study breaks, craft nights and more. The Activities Office also works in partnership and co-sponsorship with student organizations and other units to bring valuable programming to the Merrill community.
The Activities and Programs Office at Merrill College is located across from the Tacos Moreno restaurant. The office staff includes the College Programs Coordinator, Assistant College Programs Coordinator, and four Community Programs Assistants (student positions).
