2007 FLU SHOT CLINICS
FLU SEASON IS COMING!! Flu shots are recommended for persons with chronic medical problems such as Diabetes and Asthma as well as persons over 50 years old. Flu shots can reduce the likelihood of becoming sick with annual new strains of influenza virus and may decrease the severity of illness should it occur.
UCSC Student Health Center is making flu shots available for students, staff and faculty this flu season on Thurs 10/25, Fri. 10/26, Thurs 11/8 & Fri. 11/9 by appointment.
Appointments can be made by dropping in to the Health Center between 8:30 & 4:30 & signing up for a time in the Reservation Binder on the SHOP desk in the Front Lobby.
Supplies are somewhat limited.
Remember the best defenses against spreading influenza and other respiratory infections are frequent hand washing and covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
Staff & faculty: Units wishing to provide recharge for staff coverage must contact Leilani Salinas in the Student Health Center Billing Office ahead of time at 9-4480.
Please bring cash or check for $20.
Walk or use the shuttle bus as parking is extremely limited.
Check with your physician if you are uncertain if flu shots are contraindicated for you.
Students:
Flu shots as well as meningitis vaccine will be available.
Charges will go directly to your University account and a bill mailed to you so you can submit to your health insurance company. Not all companies cover these shots. Please check your plan.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE DATES.
