Water on LeafMedical Services: Psychiatric Services

Psychiatric Services are available to currently registered UCSC students. Psychiatrists on the medical staff of The Student Health Center may be seen by appointment, and in some cases on an emergency basis. Psychiatrists are also available for consultation.

During reconstruction of the Health Center, Psychiatry Services are temporarily located in Room 234 of the Academic Building of Kresge College, see Campus Map. To reach the Psychiatry Service, call (831) 459-2214, Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm.

If you are a patient of a psychiatrist here, or if you want to contact the psychiatry service about a clinical matter, or if you have an emergency, please DO NOT use email. There is no guarantee of privacy when sending email. Of equal importance, it may be days or even weeks before the message is read. If you have a psychiatric emergency, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you want to communicate with the Psychiatry Department or a specific psychiatrist at the Student Health Center, please call (831) 459-2214 or use regular mail.
