We would like to help make financing your student's UC Santa Cruz education as simple as possible.
The financial aid application process at UC Santa Cruz begins with the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Eligibility for federal, state, and university aid is determined based on the EFC (Expected Family Contribution) calculated by the Department of Education.
Funds are limited so we encourage applicants and their parents to meet all deadlines in order to receive all the assistance for which they are eligible.
Parents may choose to use the Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) program to help finance educational expenses for their son/daughter. Submit an application to start this process. Monthly fee and housing payment plans are another option help manage costs.
