VETS helping Vets

STARS is initiating a program for veteran peer advising. "VETS helping Vets"

What we want:

  • Veterans who have a desire to help other veterans by filling the position of "veteran peer advisor".
Requirements:
  • UCSC student through June 2009
  • Veteran
  • The ability to commit to a two hour training session held every Friday at 14:00 to 16:00 beginning 4/25 and ending 6/6.
  • The ability to commit to utilizing the skills obtained during the next academic year.
What you get:
  • $200.00 Baytree Book Store gift certificate.
  • Experience providing academic counseling in a peer mentor environment.
  • The opportunity to be part of a potentially outstanding program to help others like you to achieve their goals.
