At the Programs office, we are here to provide you with a chance to get involved with your community. With at least one event every week, you will have numerous opportunities to not only interact with other students, but to have a great time while you’re at it.

College Nights

Every month we put on a College Night, which is a huge, multi-cultural themed dinner with live entertainment. They are an excellent opportunity to learn about a variety of cultures through entertainment, and delicious cuisine!

Café Nights

Every week, in the College Eight Café, we host Café Nights. They can be anything from an Open Mic to a Thai cooking demonstration. On top of all that, throughout the year, we have live concerts, guest speakers, art shows, sports competitions and much, much more.

Getting Involved

We encourage everyone to swing by the Programs Office and get involved with planning events for our community; all ideas are welcome. If you would like to participate in a more official capacity, the Programs Office has a fifteen person student staff, and we are always looking for enthusiastic people to join up. We also have Orientation Leader (OL) positions open. OL’s help acclimate new students to UCSC in the fall, and work graduation in the spring and are invited to participate in working events throughout the year.
