CruzTime

How do I change my CruzTime account password?
1. Go the menu bar and click on “tools” from the drop down menu
2. Click on “change password”
3. Type in your old password
4. Then type in the new password.

I've lost my CruzTime password. How can I get it reset?
1. For CruzTime password resets please send an email to cruztime@ucsc.edu. Provide your CATS username along with the request to have your CruzTime password changed. Your password will be reset and emailed to your CATS account within 2 hours. If you have not received a response within 2 hours, please call the IRC @ 459-HELP. Alternatively you can visit the IRC in the Communications Bldg on Science Hill and request that your password be reset. Please bring a valid picture ID.

How do I go about creating a new Cruz Time account?
1. Go to http://its.ucsc.edu/services/cruztime/getting_started.php

I've had my password reset, but now CorporateTime asks for my Off-line password. How do I get rid of that?
1. If you forget your password and have it reset by the CruzTime system administrator, there is a good chance that when you next log in your will be prompted to enter your "Offline Password". If this happens, you need to clear your offline calendar information before the CorporateTime client will allow you to log in.

Macintosh: find the file called "CorporateTime Data" and drag it to the trash. Usually (but not always) this file is in a folder called "CorporateTime Data ƒ" (which is in the preferences folder, which is in the system folder of your hard drive). You want to throw away the file and not the whole folder itself. That is, you should keep the files "CorporateTime Index", "CorporateTime Params", and "CorporateTime Time Zones". You will NOT lose any meetings or tasks as a result of thorwing this file away.

Windows: Locate and delete the files that make up the off-line calendar database:
Xtmlocal.dat
Xtmlocal.ndx
Xtmtzone.ini
Xtmparam.ini
Then, launch CorporateTime. When you are prompted to download your calendar data, reply in the affirmative and wait until it completes.

Where can I go to find more CruzTime documentation?
1. Visit the CruzTime website: http://its.ucsc.edu/services/cruztime/

How can I remove meetings that are proposed to my calendar that I've declined?
1. While in Cruz Time go to the toolbar and select "Tools" then click on "Options" and uncheck the box that reads "Refused meetings". Now when you refuse a meeting you don't have to see that meeting on your calendar in red.

What happens to a CruzTime account when someone leaves the University?
1. When someone leaves the University, account administrators should contact CATS to delete the user. Account administrators should request a new account for any new users assuming the duties. This may require reconfiguration of any designate and related meetings. If a Unit has high turnover in a position, they are encouraged to use functional accounts which can preserve the designate and related meetings status.

What happens to a CruzTime account when someone changes departments?
1. When someone leaves a department for another position on campus, the account administrators for the old department should contact infocat@cats to delete the user. The account administrator for the new department should request a new account for the user.
