Meetings
CSS meetings are every Monday at 8:00 p.m. in the Crown Fireside Lounge (except holidays and during finals week). Meetings are open to everyone.

Funding
Organizations seeking funding from CSS must turn in a Funding Request Form. Forms are available in the Crown College Programs Office (CPO) or on the Crown website here. Leave your form in the CSS box in the CPO by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the meeting at which you wish to present and your request will be added to the agenda (space permitting). The chairperson will call to confirm your place on the agenda. A representative must be present at the meeting to request funding and answer questions about the proposal.

About
Crown Student Senate (CSS), the student governing body at Crown College, is an exciting way to become involved with student life.

CSS allocates $45,000 in funds each year to programs and events of benefit to Crown students. They sponsor and the Winter Formal Dance and coordinate our annual Casino Night. CSS discusses and votes on issues affecting the everyday life of UCSC students and serves as the voice of Crown students to the campus student government (SUA) and a variety of administrative committees. Being a part of CSS is an excellent way to know what's happening at UCSC, get connected to Crown resources and make a difference in campus life.

Becoming Part of CSS
The Senate body consists of 12 elected Senators and 16 Representatives appointed from on and off campus. Elections for open senator positions are conducted online and in the Crown Courtyard early in October and mid-May. If you are interested in being a Senator, pick up a petition in the Crown Residential Education Office (behind BJs). If you miss the deadline and still want to participate, consider being a representative.
