China and India represent both the present and future of the global IT industry. Currently, both countries have a strong and expanding presence in the global industry. Both have significant potential to be even more central players and markets in the next decade. This one day workshop brings together cutting-edge thinking to link this present reality to future possibilities for Silicon Valley
The ties between Silicon Valley and these nations will only deepen and strengthen in the next decade. However, how they will deepen and evolve individually and collectively is still open to question. Domestic policy and economic growth, new innovations in technology and organizations, changes in global trade and immigration all will be factors structuring a future global IT industry very different than the present architecture.
The workshop aims to capture these complex changes through the general theme of competition and partnership between China, India and Silicon Valley. By focusing critical attention on the interaction and competition of entrepreneurs, companies and regions in the next decade, the workshop will move to understand future strategic and policy choices.
