Career Center advisers and staff are available to review your
resume and application materials, which include essays, and to discuss
your interviewing techniques. Career Center advisers are available
during "Drop-In" advising hours: 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30-3:30pm,
Monday through Thursday AND 10:30-11:10am Fridays at 305 Bay Tree
Building(Career Center will be closed on Presidents' Day holiday
on Monday, February 18).
FEBRUARY 21st: APPLICATIONS DUE
to Chancellor's Office (Kerr Hall) by 5pm.
March 8th:
Northern Regional Commission reviews ALL Southern UC applications
@ UC Berkeley.
Southern Regional Commission reviews ALL Northern UC applications
(including UCSC's applications) @ UC Los Angeles.
March/April:
General "Job Interviewing Techniques" workshop offered at the
Career Center.
Week prior to April 5th:
Career Center advisers available to perform mock interviews and
interviewing advice for selected UCSC candidates (please set up
a mock interview by contacting studentregent@ucsc.edu).
Prior to April 5th:
Student applicants will be notified by the UC Office of the President
(UCOP) that they are selected to interview (prior to April 14th
interview day)
Beyond UCSC:
April 5th:
Northern Regional Commission Interviews 10 Northern UC applicants
@ UC Berkeley.
Southern Regional Commission Interviews 10 Southern UC applicants
@ UC Los Angeles.
April:
UCOP contacts semifinalists' references.
May 3rd:
UC Student Association (UCSA) interviews 10 semifinalists (5 Southern
& 5 Northern UC applicants) @ UC Riverside.
May 17th:
Regents Special Committee interview 3 finalists.
July:
2009-2010 Student Regent Appointed and serves as the Student Regent
Designate for 2008-2009.
