Graduate Services are exclusively available to registered Masters
and PHD students and Post Doctoral Fellows on a no fee basis and
are offered to meet the schedules of working and non working graduates.
The following Services are available on Campus primarily at the
Career Center and Conference Rooms, 305 Bay Tree Building, Quarry
Plaza and at the Graduate Student Commons Building, 3rd Floor, Quarry

- Career Workshops
A variety of academic and non-academic industry workshops
are offered on a Quarterly basis.
Each Quarter 1-6 core workshops are offered. Topics of special
interest and for the academic job search are developed in response
to requests through the year.
Core topics include: Job Search Planning and Strategies, Resume
and Cover Letter, Resume to CV and Marketing Materials, Networking,
Interviewing, the Application Process and Career Exploration.

- Library
Graduates and Postdoctoral Fellows have access to the full
range of the Career Center Reference Library resources in print,
video and computer databases. A Graduate section is being developed
as resources permit.
- Letter Service
The Letter Service is an official repository for letters of
recommendation supporting graduate application for academic employment
and to fellowship granting organizations to support your academic
and career objectives.
- Career Advice
Network (CAN)
The Career Advice Network is a referral program comprised of UCSC
alumni, faculty and staff nationwide, who volunteer their time
for informational interviews, share insights and personal experiences
in their specific career fields. This network is a way to gain
career insight and to conduct research into potential careers.
Currently there are hundreds of CAN members searchable by career
field, industry, and major.
- Internship
DataBase
The Career Center Internship database houses hundreds
of local, state, national and international internships. These
internships can be searched by industry, career field and / or
by location.
- Job Fairs and On Campus Interviewing
The Career Center organizes job fairs throughout the academic
year. Job fairs are an opportunity to talk with employers about
their companies and job openings, and to drop off a resume.
